Steve Glover has been intensely involved in the community for over two decades. His initial interests concerned the school system. After chairing the McGavock Parent Cluster Group as well as Government Relations for the Parents Advisory Council, Steve was elected to the Metropolitan Nashville Board of Public Education in 2006 representing Donelson, Hermitage, and Old Hickory.
While on the school board, Steve’s business background in financial planning led to his appointment as chair of the Budget and Finance Committee. In 2009 & 2010 he was instrumental in successfully steering the system through the most challenging fiscal crisis it has ever faced.
Glover currently represents District 12 on the Metro Council where he chairs the Education Committee and serves on Budget and Finance, Affordable Housing, and the Planning and Zoning committees.
Steve is widely known as the most established advocate for stewardship in metro government. Now he’s all in for an at-large metro council seat to increase his impact in an even larger role.
